Lecturer:
Dr. Marcy Ribetti is a political scientist with academic and practical expertise in insurgent conflict, including the motivations to join and leave insurgent groups, guerrilla warfare and conflict resolution. Demonstrated superior skills in designing, developing, managing and evaluating conflict resolution and post-conflict programs, such as disarmament/demobilization/reincorporation and recruitment prevention initiatives. Deep knowledge of Colombian guerrillas and paramilitary groups. Recognized ability to analyze complex political environments and pursue innovative research in them. Superior ability at writing analytical documents and award winning grant proposals. Excellent oral communication skills. Demonstrated program management skills. Complementary areas of expertise are: democracy and democratization, governance and Latin America.
